Hmm, good point. A few of mine were checked off based on CanJam listening just last week which is the very definition of a fly-by listen, so there’s that.
Could it be that there is much more commercial pressure in Asia because there's many more big brands around, which may lead to a rather excessive tuning to quickly outshine other competitors during a short comparison? We all know that will be counter productive in the long term but then the commercial damage is done. The US and Europe having smaller markets with possibly a larger percentage of "critical listeners" would mean they have to focus on a more modest tuning (which in these lands is often seen as higher quality) to survive in their own regions. Adding the 2 together then it suddenly would make sense; at least from a commercial point of view.
That sounds like a worthwhile theory, taking into account the commercial forces and pressure in Asia and the different situation in western market.
Good idea!

I have heard 15 from these 68 iem. Mainly iem from friends I had the opportunity to listen to, the remaining I have acquired myself.
The European IEM desert caused some blind purchases.
