In other news, I just bought both Joni Mitchell Remastered Album Collections (skipping the Archive releases, as the sound quality is quite bad) as a digital download. Can´t wait to listen to all of them, especially the early Albums that I shined away from until now.

I might have some news on that front soon as well... not a finalized deal yet.

Good point! This IS, after all a forum about sound (generally speaking of course)... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Exactly! However...

What I like best around the watercooler is that there's always space and time to share completely different passions, whether it's dogs, motor bikes, music, food, you name it. And while it's often IEMs and other gear that divides us, it's passions that connect us.

I bet the bass is killer with a nice 1, 2 punch on the top end once it's in high gear. :)

In this hobby there seems to be an ideological divide between "Objectivists" viz a viz those who feel everything meaningful in an IEM's sound can be captured by measurements, and "Subjectivists" those who feel that the subjective consciousness from the listener can never be divorced from how and IEM or headphone will sound. I am reminded of the following quote by Emerson:

"As thinkers, mankind have ever divided into two sects, Materialists and Idealists; the first class founding on experience, the second on consciousness; the first class beginning to think from the data of the senses, the second class perceive that the senses are not final, and say, the senses give us representations of things, but what are the things themselves, they cannot tell. The materialist insists on facts, on history, on the force of circumstances, and the animal wants of man; the idealist on the power of Thought and of Will, on inspiration, on miracle, on individual culture. "

As for my own position...

Just think that if CA had released a universal model of SM in NA and other deprived markets, they would have sold a bunch more.

Survey question: How many of the above 68 IEMs have you heard? 43 for me...so ~2/3 of them.
I have only heard six out of the 68. It is just too difficult to audition anything here in Vietnam or even to organise a tour. Bottom line, I live vicariously though the Cooler!

Yeah, I have no idea why Campfire isn't going uni with supermoon. So many people in this hobby don't do customs because there is zero resell/trade value. They'd make a mint if they released it universal. I'd buy one for sure. It's completely unique. Clean. Clean. Clean. But not at all sterile.
Perhaps they want to learn on the job and prepare for a big market surprise with universals after finding out what exactly to improve from CFA lovers?

I have offical confirmation from a german Hi-Fi seller that the Supermoon is available as a universal set now, too.
