Ordered some new tips to roll this summer...

The $$ I've spent on ear tips the past 6 months was enough to buy a decent cable. Couple weeks ago, I received a 2-pair pack and 2 single pairs from MTMT....2 of the models didn't even seal for me, and while the 3rd one did, I was utterly unimpressed with the sound. $35 flushed. But, that's the game when using universals, right? I have never had an interest in customs, so I accept it as a cost of doing business, but still... Oh, and I also have another 2-pair pack and a single pair of another brand coming to me from MTMT in the next few days, LOL.

Going from some extended time with the Dorado 2020 over to Isa I am always struck by how sweet, full-bodied and irresistibly alluring its tuning is.

Did you pre-order from Musicteck? I can't wait to hear our thoughts on it vs. 3DT.

Yes from Musicteck. Andrew had said he thought they would be in at the end of last week, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer… it’s always good to have the chance to learn some patience though!

Oh wow- do you know if they’re the same e-stats from Spark/Trailli?
Well, TSMR generally uses drivers fron Sonion, but no model no. of EST drivers can be detected on both LAND and SPARK, so cannot confirm that. However SPARK is more refined than LAND, albeit slightly less volume of bass and slightly less wide stage.

Edit: I am just quoting words of others who have listened to both extensively, I cannot afford to get SPARK currently.

1 DD for Bass
2 Sonion BA for Mid
1 Sonion BA for High (possibly)
2 Sonion EST for High
That configuration reminds me, there is this IEM I tried today below $1000 that sounded pretty impressive all-round. The Kinera Nanna. It competes with the likes of Elysium (it also requires some power, but relatively easier to drive}, with both having similar tuning but with the Nanna having a bigger DD bass, and a more solid low-mids. Stage airiness is better on the Ely though. Tonally I feel the Nanna sounded a bit more natural, with its heftier low-end

There's an upgrade to it now, Nanna Pro 2.0.

I love the color combo...that IEM's been on my radar since I watched Z reviews rave about the Shanling M8 and how good the Nanna sounded through it.
