How do these compare to the venerable IE900?The TIMSOK TS-316 make for a very complementary set with TZ700, they lean more euphonic and musical compared to the more reference tuned TZ700. I’d consider the TS-316 as the best DD I’ve heard under $1,000… good deep bass, lush and clear mids with sufficient sparkle up top - excellent layering and imaging, with a nice wide stereo presentation. I’ve said it a few times now but I’ll say it again, a highly addictive set!

I'll have to a/b but off the top of my head, IE900 more resolving, faster, and definitely more zing up top - TS-316 then more of a w-shape with more full and forward mids and stepping back up top… I feel IE900 probably more snappy mid bass, and extends deeper on sub but need to test that. They definitely have a similar stereo field presentation, I always remember this really striking me with IE900 when I first got them back in 2021. TS-316 overall has a softer, smoother presentation and as such more relaxed.
Judging by the price points, I would put it up against the ie600

NA12 comes with 2 cables, a 1.6m 3.5mm cable for stage use and a 1.3m 4.4 mm high grade SPC cable. The performance of original SPC cable is already good enough, but I change it to the Silver Reference(image below) made by astral acoustics to get more details.
NA12 may be the best neutral iem I've heard.

Yeah, but since I have the IE900, that's my benchmark for single DDs. If the Timsok doesn't offer any compelling advantages (and I don't expect it to at the price point) then it doesn't warrant my interest.
Yeah, I get it . The ie900 is also my single DD benchmark it’s gonna be very hard to hit that level of resolution below its price point

I also own the Noble Ronin, before I get NA12, I've seen the first impression of NA12 by Twsiter6, the FR graph shows that its really close to Ronin imo.
Then, my feeling is that NA12 is really close in timbre, like the FR.
In terms of resolution, I think the Ronin is one of the highest in the market, compare it to NA12, the mid of Ronin step back a bit, and its airy than Na12, however, NA12 is more natural, Ronin comes with more colors in high frequency to build the "hi-fi sound". I think they are similar in resolution if not consider the "hi-fi"(colorise feeling). Both of them are in top tier resolution .
