I'm be waiting here, patiently for impressions.
My western ears always look right for the bass going in fresh which is a precarious thing to do with an IEM like Annihilator, whose bass is not its strong suit. I listened to it for a few minutes at lunch and was, as before, put off a little by the bass. The same thing was true of Gaea at the very beginning also. However having been sitting here for the past 30 minutes with them on I've settled in to the signature a bit and it's glorious. Similar gestalt as Gaea but the next level of performance. The comments of Gaea being a baby Anni are apt. The bass is I would say in the zone of adequate-- but it's got that DD weight and even when I can't hear it I sense its presence...which is what matters for me to not be eternally bothered by it. Once my mind settles in to the sound the bass just blends in as part of the tapestry and does its role. The real beauty of this IEM is the lush, refined, resolving, nuance-rich tapestry of sonic bliss it creates in the mids and highs. There is no harshness, peakiness, fatigue-- nothing less than pure refinement to my ears. And this is just through my lowly SR25ii. Annihilator seems like a good all-rounder for me-- once it gets me in the zone and does it's thing I find myself on a journey I don't want to end.
This is a joy to listen to on Ani:
