Sunday evening chill music - Yanyin Moonlight on duty for this one... a really beautiful ambient/modern classical release with Adam Wiltzie from Stars of the Lid and A Winged Victory for the Sullen.

For me as well. I’m glad I tried the mentioned IEM before investing in it. Until today A12t and LX are the best “if I could only have 1” for my tastes. Doesn’t matter the price. It’s what ones likes that matter.I envy many of you who can hoover up everything on the market with impunity-- this has never been an option for me...every purchase requires careful thought and judicious sacrifice
Agree, the companies marketing created a desirability around TOL/flagship wording that in these days, if not that it’s barely talked around this forum. So the price trend will keep high until we change our perception.TOTL = Top Of The Line, which generally means the most expensive in the range from that vendor. Synonymous with flagship, although nowadays many people consider TOTL to generally represent 'high-end' but not necessarily flagship. TOTL also generally means above a certain price tier, but that varies depending on who you ask.
TZ700? Will be fun to compare TZ700 with IE600 (or IE900), and Sony MDR-ex800st.I started the weekend with the IE600 and planned to listen to other gears and finalize some reviews on sunday, but due to health constraints spent the entire day sleeping.
Due to the change in weather in my city over the past few days(it's been raining here), I am all feverish and feeling chills all over my body. The same is with my wife, so the reviews will have to wait another day.
Currently ending the weekend again with the IE600, IDK if I will find any single dd again that beats this baby
TZ700 is not available in my country bro. Sony MDR-ex800ST and EX1000ST are there with some friends, I have asked them to help me get an audition with their units.TZ700? Will be fun to compare TZ700 with IE600 (or IE900), and Sony MDR-ex800st.
Sunday noon

All depends on budget & desire for SQ. As @HiFiHawaii808 has mentioned a few times, Indigo is great bang for buck if that presentation floats your boat, if you want to ramp it up a notch then IMO jewel is a very good progression but as with most "TOTL/Summit/cream of the crop", it'll ask you to dig deeper into your pockets for the pleasure. It's all relative to what you put value on. I loved indigo but jewel have knocked it out of the park for me. Took a seriously big gamble on them going CIEM blind but they (thankfully) put a huge smile on my face and are 100% up my street.I may have to reevaluate my desire for the Jewel. My wallet thanks you.
In fact when I say that LPGT is "less hot" .... I mean it is a bit "digital" as you define it.(Response to fabio)^^^. I have to offer a different opinion.... I have the L&P LP6 ti and I had the LPGT (not ti) for a day before I decided to get rid of it. The Lotoo top end sounded totally "digital" in comparison to the L&Ps. It didn't compare to the P6Pro either. And it was not as powerful as the LP6 ti......
I absolutely agree. When I spoke of source compatibility and amplitude matching, I wasn't referring to all iems, but was making a point that it COULD devalue and underappreciate how one may perceive an iem's full potential.I think source is massively important-- but a lot more so with some IEMs than others. I've only demoed the Jewel twice-- once on my M8 and again on my M9. On my M8 the highs were overdone and I didn't enjoy Jewel all that much. Conversely on the M9 it was perfect during my brief demo on that player I got a sense of why the IEM is so revered. Traillii, on the other hand, has sounded great to me on everything I've plugged it into.

A lot of my experience comes from single dynamic drivers mainly, although the most memorable experience was through Rhapsodio Bomber MKII, which uses a single graphene magnetostatic driver (exotic specialist iem!).
It costs $4400 and sounded worse than an average tws earphone when underpowered (would heavily recommend an external amp). Experiences like these taught me that not all iem sounds good on mediocre sources and debunks the assumption that iems do not need much power.
There's seems to be an overwhelming amount of misconception trending on social media that you don't need anything more than an apple dongle to hear what an iem is capable of. It pains me everytime I hear someone crusading that amplifiers are meant only for headphones.
I also think when ppl say power, they’re thinking of watts, but it’s the current that is also important. In my experience e-stats tend to scale the most with power, then DDs, then planars...BAs seem to me to be the easiest to drive in general and most ambivalent to power.
