IEMs with DD need about 100 hours of break in !!!!! You have tips figured out.
I have all 4 SednaEartfit types, plus Xelastec and Crystals at home in Hawaii. But, I don't have the shorts with me in California. I'll have to order some. Why not use the stock tips first?
BTW, are you using the Azla shorts or standards? The shorts might offer less treble.
I must admit, I have never been a believer in break in periods and I am a pretty agnostic cable person. But in this case, all I've done is tip roll between SednaEarfit, SednaEarfit light and Xelastec tips and the stock cable and my Ares II cable originally that came with my Legend X IEMs and I went from total trash sound to glorious full bass, balance signature in one afternoon. I have no idea what was the ultimate cause of this evolution. I usually go through a period of adjustment, but this small set of adjustments made by far the most difference ever. I honestly can't explain what happened.IEMs with DD need about 100 hours of break in !!!!! You have tips figured out.
I agree. Most of it was seal for sure. Since I am skeptical of burn in and cable rolling, that would be my default answer. But, I don't think seal alone explains it all.Sounds like a simple seal issue. Maybe you had some gaps without realizing it?
I've never had an IEM, headphone, or speaker that "totally" changed character like that without something being wrong. The seal seems like the most likely culprit.
Interesting. What are you pairing it with?picked up a L&P W2 since there were good reviews and I started commuting back and forth to work.
volume is set to 50 so loudness isn't a problem. but bass is flabby/muddy, highs are a bit shouty. Overall presentation is incoherent...just very messy
I'm thinking it's an impedance thing and perci can only be powered through a desktop system....
disappointed overall!
How do you take measurements accurately?
