I'm not sure about that... the FT with shielding cable itself costs more than the MEST Indigo lol. Not only that, but the Indigo cable feels quite cheap and plasticky.

The earphones vibrate the bones by your ear and they transmit the vibrations to your inner ear. As you know, when the bones of your inner ear vibrate, they turn those vibrations into sound. If you search on amazon for bone conduction headphones you will see a number of them that attach to the outside of the ear and only vibrate. Sometimes they are sold at airports as well (and you can try them) as a way to allow you to hear music, videos, etc over the noise. The first time I tried one I was shocked. Who knew?
Hi @HiFiHawaii808. I heard that Abyss will be at CanJam Chicago with 2 Lina stacks and also the XI Audio full stacks. If you can, please see if you can do a comparison of the Abyss 1266 TC on the Lina vs XI Audio.
Maybe also try some IEMs on the Lina if you have the time. Tks.

Also, incredibly uncomfortable vs. Copper M2 for me. The Y-splitter was too heavy and the hooks dig into your ears. There was always a clock running down when I had Indigo in my ears and I had to get them out (or swap the cable out, lol) None of my other cables gave it a good sound though so I used the M3 till it hurt then I swapped IEM.s.
I think it really is that simple. There's a thing that vibrates in your inner ear canal and enhances the viscernal/realness of what you're listening to. Qualitatively it's not unlike one of those "real life" Disney rides where you're watching a film showing an earthquake and your chair vibrates to add to the realism of the experience.
Thanks!
I was wondering where does the bone conduction driver is placed in the shell and with which part of the ear it is in contact for the vibration.
@twister6 do you remember If mezzo is brighter than Dark Sky?
I found this pic on my library when I was searching info on Beat audio cable in November.. I read you like it with a switches combo.
My last old non Shanling DAP is gone. DX 220 with Amps 8 and 9. Took 2 hours from creating add, taking pics and receiving money from PayPal. Might buy a Hiby new gen 5 or a Basso DX 240. this will be beater/traveling DAP.
