I really like my Takstar Pro 80's. They sound amazing and the build quality is amazing for the cheap price. But the sound stage is really lacking compared to the Takstar 2050's. Does it improve after burn in? I guess not?
That's usually the difference between closed and open headphones.

The only closed headphone I've ever heard with incredible soundstage is the Soundmagic HP150

The HI 2050 is very comfortable for any size of head. Give them a chance

Comfort-wise, they're both great. However, I disagree as to their fit on large heads. I'd maybe call my head average-sized and I have to use my HI 2050s at full extension to barely contain my ears fully. Pro 80s supposedly offer a bit more of an extension. Then there's bending the yokes outward to help but I don't know how much good that will do for larger heads.

How easy is it to replace the earpads on the Gemini/Takstar Pro 80?  I don't want to start ripping them off not knowing what I'm doing.

It's very easy, can't see anyone having a problem with it as long as the new pads fit (HM5 or similar).

Ok thanks.  Yep, I'm going to be getting the brainwavz memory foam pads.

No problem, just PM me if you run into any problems putting them on :)

Just a quick question: Do I rotate them or just pull them off?

Jus pull them off. They should come off quite easy without the use of much force.
