I guess the concept is like the Bugatti supercar with over 1,000 HP. Obviously it is not a profit driven project by itself, but the technologies that trickle down to the lower models will certain make the later profitable. Sounds like Sennheiser is adopting similar approach ?

Tactically I think Senn. will only need to release a higher model after AKG, Sony and AT release their super headphones (assuming those are super good). Good to keep a trump card when you need it.

Maybe mid-April. Some shop in Germany suggesting 18th (unconfirmed). This only apply to first batch customers.
