just got my T1 back! they replaced the entire headband, my old one was the 5k series, this one is from the 11k series beyers. seems like its a little wider, the leather is softer, and the sliding mechanism is nice and solid, it doesn't move all over the place like the old one, it actually clicks into place like its supposed to!

peter and the entire beyer service team are awesome!!

Have fun with them ^^

still deciding, just got up to really listen to them. listened to them earlier but didn't really compare alot.

i can tell that both improve with GEC tubes, but the difference is more noticeable on HD 800.

Do the HD800s scale a bit more than the T1s? I should have paid better attention to the gear I was listening to the 800s on a while back, but I know it was stuff I've never heard of...I'll have to find out how high end it was.

HI!

I've heve not read the entire thread yet, but I haven't found information about the old T1 model and the new one (the transparent one). Is there any difference in the sound?

ok GEC 6AS7G does sound really nice with T1, but these tubes really need to be warmed up. like the WA2 has to be really warm for the treble to be nice and warm, but its worth it, they sound sooooo goood!!!

Thanks. So to my ears should not be a problem. Some people who find few small differences signifies something difficoult to percive anyway.
By the way, mine is an old version sn° 1414. I find it very good, I'm using it with an A1 Clone Gold but i'm curious to try it with an OTL amp. Something like a BH Crack or a WA2 if the difference in SQ justify the gap in price between the two.
