Dave, yes they are soldered not removable unless you re solder it. The original Neutrik plug is reused.

Want to mod them with mini-XLR?  I have some extra mini-XLR jacks that you can have, I bough them in bulk since it brought the cost per way down, I was doing 3 headphones with them, 2 T1 and a DT-990 and have 4 extras

Nope didn't get a chance to hear the T1 with the stock cable but I do like what I'm hearing now with the after market cable. Also as I'm listening on my desktop mainly, the shorter length is ideal for me. The previous owner did give me the original cable too.

Shortened the stock cable on my T1 for the same reason. Stock cable is said to be of pretty good quality so I passed on the custom cable for now. Might have to revisit that idea.

Thanks!

The stock cable for the T1.1 is Sommer Cable SC-Peacock MKII

I've made a number of cables with this cable, and really like it. People that claim to be able to tell the sonic difference between cables said it was the best copper cable they had ever heard on the HD800.

Is it the one that comes with T1 Gen 1 by default? I'm confused

Yes. Stock means the one that it comes with. In the case of the T1.1, it's the attached cable. The T1.2 come with a detachable cable from somethings different.

This means I don't really have to change anything :D A great relief @UntilThen are you listening, you said the same thing hehe

Correct. You don't have to change a thing. Stock cable is very good quality. Mine came with aftermarket cable installed so I left it as it is. :)

The original cable is still around.

Having a set of headphones that are already great out of the box drives us tinkerers nuts! There's nothing to really futz with, so I'm forced to just sit and enjoy my music. :p My poor soldering iron must remain alone and forlorn in the garage.

I'm not much of a tinkerer anymore. "If it's not broke don't fix it" is my motto nowadays.

T1 g1 has a permanently attach cable, many mod them to have removable for various reasons.  The T1 g2 has removable cables from the factory.

Is there a difference between 48khz and 192khz sample of pink noise for Burning headphones?(or 48khz vs 96khz)

It will be enough to burn-in headphone 48kHz sample of pink-noise (via iPod classic)?
Or should I use notebook ( AIMP3> 192kHz samples pink noise)

I would just use a playlist, not pink noise. You want to exercise all the frequencies with variation.

IMO any sound should be adequate.  One is looking to move and loosen the driver suspension, and likely lower frequencies at a decent level should be most effective.

I use track 38 on:  Best Of Chesky Classics, Jazz & Audiophile Test Disc, Vol. 3 (16-44), titled: Equipment And Cable Burn-In Signal.flac

I did not notice any difference in my T1's with hours of use, they have always sounded amazing and are the HPs I always use to compare to others.

The Planar HPs I have did get noticeably better over time though.
