So ive been trying the U12T. It's got a quality ive never heard in an iem before. It seems to be adding reverb into the sound, so for instance like being in an auditorum, some ways back from the audio source.

Interesting observation. I noticed same when I tried out some other IEMs after using 64 exclusively for a couple of years. It seems to be present in the Fourte and Noir too; and to a lesser extent on the Nio. Suspect it maybe one of the characteristics of the Tia driver.
With the Fourte and Noir in particular it recreates a “room feel”.

Interesting! I hear that in Noir too. For some sounds, like cymbal/ride splash, where I expect the decay to disperse and expand out left and right, it stays kind of confined. Like a room as you say. With IER-Z1R and MEST, the sound spread outwards. My ear+brain has been slowly adjusting to this presentation. It's so addictive in some of the recordings that I can't take it off my ears
