@mvvRAZ I have just read your review of the A18s and was interested in what you said about cables. There seemed to be no difference whether you used the stock, 1960s or Iliad. Do you know why this might be? I would have thought that the difference between the stock and the two TOTL cables should be quite significant.

Welcome to the Hi-Fi world, where nothing is absolute.

Trust me there is a difference, it all depends if you have a high end dap like 1z example heck even my trio with LID tech and the difference was very obvious and pw1960 4 wires is the best cable I have used to date.
also your music format can affect the quality perception... Need minimum cd quality level ( 16/44 )

If the new 18S uses the same LiD tech as Fir audio then its a stronger Lid intrusion and they cable swap is still present but less prominent. What I found was that it seems the new LiD is optimized to work best with stock cable...

In terms of quantity alone I'd say it goes A18s - Noir - N8

Yea but a18s is not a DD so how can you put them in the same boat :smirk:
would then say a18s and Noir 2 different typo in reproducing sound

The A18s has very very impressive bass for all BAs.
Waiting for a u18s here. Maybe I'll pull the trigger then. For now u18t doesnt sound like my cup of tea.

On a sidenote, my u12t should arrive by Friday

Not sure honestly. Some IEMs tend to be more responsive to cable rolling than others. I thought it might have to do with LID but the A18S responds so heavily to sources I’d rule that out. Might be some differences there that I’m just not hearing

Does anyone recommend or have experience pairing the Plussound exo Tri-Copper with Trió ? Any thoughts on the pairing would be appreciated.
No experience with the Tri-Copper, but I have paired the Trio with the Plussound Exo GPS and they are a great match together.

It will make Trio sound more v-shaped, especially with a boost in low end and an extra sparkle in treble.

Breaking in my u12t during my faily hike. How I've missed it's voice.

That said, this unit is like new in comparison to my previous which was a demo model.

Leo II and LP6K on it's way from Musicteck

I'm the proud new owner of a 64audio U12t! Never would I have imagined that I would spend this much on a pair of IEMs. Something I've learned from my other hobbies is that it's nearly impossible for me to be satisfied with my gear knowing that something "better" exists. And yet, I think that the U12t strikes a happy medium. It's not a specialist at anything, but it does everything very well. I'm a firm believer that going straight to the top can cut the pretense and can save you money in the long-run.

Something I'm very happy about with this IEM is actually the comfort. My left ear is funky for lack of a better word, and it only takes about half an hour for it to cramp up with all the other IEMs I've tried. I don't think it's a choice of tips, but rather the shape of these other IEMs which try to uniquely conform to the ears' shape like a CIEM. The more standard shape on the U12t is very comfortable to my ear, and the APEX technology isn't just a gimmick. I can see myself wearing these for several hours without any issues.

I'm definitely still in honeymoon period with these guys. Time will tell if these are "endgame", but I can't deny that they are great sans the high buy-in.

apex is indeed not a gimmick.

it does a great job to both increase perceived stage size, and significantly reduce listening fatigue.

enjoy the new pickup, man.
