don't you find them a bit sibilant on occasion?
These are the same tips I'm using. The only thing is I normally use medium but on Trio, I find medium/large gives me a better seal. Also, I am using Teflon tape to make the nozzle thicker so they have less of a tendency to slip off in my ears. :beerchug:

Teflon tape is a pretty good idea.
SpiralDots indeed tend to slip off when I am taking off the IEMs too..

@Takeda`1537

Hello,

I am considering ordering the Pentaconn COREIR Al Alloy Eartips for my 64 Audio Volür and would appreciate your opinion on the matter.

Currently, I am using the COREIR Brass Metal Core Eartips with excellent results; they are, in my experience, the best eartips for the Volür. However, I have encountered an issue with the Brass Metal version: the lid of my iFi GO Pod case does not close completely, leaving it slightly ajar. Could you please advise if the Al Alloy version can be compressed slightly to allow the lid to close properly?

Additionally, I would like to understand the differences in sound quality between the Brass Metal and Al Alloy versions based on your experience.

Thank you

The two type of tips are identical size-wise. You would have the same experience in storing your Volür with Al Alloy tips as with you are having with the Brass version.

In my experience, not really, at that time I'm using silver copper hybrid mix custom cable, more like the old Eros from Effect but 8 braids wire, I found it well balanced.

Yes, me too using the medium size, previously trying MS but after longer listening session they often break the seal.

I wish I could get along with SpinFit but they seem to be sized a tad smaller than many other brands. Size L is a bit too small for me to keep a seal with the variations I have tried. Is W1 sized pretty much the same as their other variations? (Edit : Might work if they're particularly grippy)

I am using the large 13.5mm. Other tips I take 13.3mm and they stay on without a problem for me on Trio. I always look at the measurements and pick the one that matches what I normally take. The Azala Crystals are super grippy and work ok with Trio but W1s sound the best. Runner up would be Velvets wide bore.

Guess it depends also on the length of the nozzle. IEMs with a short nozzle would not go to deep in the ear canal and, as such, may require a bit of a larger tip. Those with a long nozzle instead would go deeper, and a smaller tip may be a better fit..

I will add I use one 5mm oring flush to shell body and then put tip on with Trio. This allows best seal for my ears as the Trio does not have long nozzle.

Loving the Fourte; makes a great addition to my collection. Very dynamic and energetic in nature while still displaying impressive resolution and technical capabilities. A great contrast to the highly detailed and clinical Viking Ragnar.

Thanks to @mattclarke18 for the trade and getting this little marvel a new home!

Paired with a Yongse El Capitane cable I already had lying around; it matches the unique aesthetic of the Fourte quite well, strangely enough. Seems they were almost meant to be paired together.

Glad I was able to find a great home for that Fourte and that you will give her the love that I was not able to. Thanks to Eddie at 64A for making sure all issues were resolved for her new owner.

Interesting that you have contrasted it with Ragnar. To me, they are almost the antithesis of each other and yet, both are so engaging!
