You should give the Flat 4 Sui a try. I bet you that would completely change your mind on Dynamics vs BA :).

Lee, i never tried DD IEMs so much $$$, hence cannot say. SE215 is much cheaper entry-level IEM IMO.

Pricejapan has the best price on them. But you can also get them from Music Acoustics. In terms of high end IEMs I think the Sui packs some serious value for the sound you get. Not that it's a cheap IEM at all but I feel it does compete with IEMs in the $1000+ range. It's definitely re-sparked my interest in dynamic IEMs and their ability to improve with time.

lol don't take it offensively. I just meant to say don't underestimate dynamic IEMs. They have a lot of potential and the Flat 4 is a great example of it. Considering its price point I prefer it to some IEMs I've heard in the $1,300 range. I was just making a suggestion to compliment your high end player :).

right now i have RDB+ on the way, cannot wait see them in action. meanwhile EB50 despite being a single BA are fairly good too.

you :) Unless you have already bought the AK100?

My opinion is AK100 is not a universal DAP, it is far from it. I am not too impressed about its amp section. One shouldnt go through 9 different IEM/heaphone to find something which pairs good with a DAP, that defeats the purpose of an "audiophile DAP" in my view.

i bought Red Wine moded AK100 called RWAK. so far i find this player ticking many right boxes for me personally. i am not very experienced about its amp section but so far i find this fairly fine. i just believe that a good amp can lift RWAK on the whole new level, this is why i ordered Tralucent T1 which some people say achieves good synergies with many DAPs.

in the end for me personally RWAK is fine player, i just do not expect it to sound like tube setup with big floorstanders... so lowering my expectations lets me enjoy the music without much looking back :)

yeah, waiting a month was all about RDB+ since manufacturer still has to ship them back to rhapsodio... that takes bit longer than we expected. Tralucent also will ship only after Easter. in the end i do not mind waiting if the result will be pleasing me.

Trying to fund AK100 synergies is proving to be rather hard. Tried Lear lCM 5 with it's monitor adapter, adds 100 ohms plus does other things, and sound was horrendous, it's much better without the adapter which is odd and the monitors sound a LOT BASSIER than usual.

I know it's 5 BA but is sounds alright, I'm more suprisef about the adapter, that I expected to work well.

With my AK100, that I have bypassed the 22 resistance on, the JH13's are about perfect. A total synergy for my. Everything I would want from the 13's and the JAMAK100

If everyone has his own johndoeak100, I am.going to get lost in the terminology and the pairings. So Jamak100 pairs well with jh13 unamped but does gabriellak100 + diy amp pair well with jh16 reshelled by UM :)

Mim, lol, you know we humans have different ears and music tastes, so what's a blessing for me might be a nightmare for others. :-D
