I've heard Hiby R3's 3.5mm output isn't really better than Shanling M1.
How do you guys like 2.5mm output of R3?
Do you guys think 2.5mm balanced out of R3 sound much better than Shanling M1's 3.5mm?

2.5 balanced always better.

I have Sony N3AP with 2.5mm balanced cable. Want to try R3 balanced.

Balanced on the R3 has more power and hence more dynamics ...so always good balanced

that's good to know. Do you think R3 balanced is on par with AK120 balanced? or iBasso DX120 balanced?

R3's UI seems to be really good... however I see some people saying it doesn't sound better than Shanling M1.
If its 2.5mm balanced out is much better, I'll give it a try.

short questions about R3..
Is it's possable to play from NAS in WiFi? I mean HiBy player can do this?
is R3 WiFi connection is okey?
For coaxial digital out, i need special cable? is it included?
Is it possable to install other Android apps like UAPP?

you better use coaxial out to Mojo

it is possible to play from NAS via WiFi but it works on and off with my set up (JRIVER). It can only play one song at the time and then it stops. Apparently many people have the same issue (source Hiby facebook page)

I'm having trouble getting any sound difference when I've connected my R3 to my Fiio A5. Right now it's connected with the Hiby type-c to 3.5 coax and I hear no change at all. I also tried connecting with the Fiio CL-06 and I started hearing a high-pitch whine sound coming from one of the two ( I believe it was the amp); there's no such whine with the Hiby coax cable. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a setting I'm missing?

2.5 balanced always better.

Being used balanced with Seeds IEMs but sound is so histrionic for me and I get fatigue on listening.
Sure this has been discuseed before and even I asked for advise on balanced IEMs under $150 and it seems iBasso IT01 were a good alternative, but I want to get a good pair of balanced IEMs under $300 as it is the price tag of my unbalanced Ety ER4PT and I like the sound analytic and neutral signature.

Could you please recommend IEMs in this SQ and sub $300?

Does anybody have issues with playing albums with flac+cue files? Most of my music in flac+cue and it seems that Hiby R3 doesn't recognize cue albums at all.
