IMO, LG G4 was an unsuccessful attempt for being an upgrade to LG G3. It was side-grade and couldn't achieve the goal. The only thing I found to be better on the LG G4 was the low light shooting capability.

I can speak confidently because one of the early testers in my country was my friend and I had a chance to test it side by side with my LG G3.

Now this new offering from LG really got my attention.

I am HYPED

My wallet reserved...

Say hi to LG V10:

Some highlights:

316L stainless steel frame
5.7” QHD Screen
Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable memory via microSD card slot which is compatible with cards of up to 2TB!!!  (compatibility for card is same on LG G3
32 bit Hi-Fi DAC by ESS Technology*, designers of high-performance audio products for professionals. The LG V10 automatically detects connected devices and provides sound control options which can be customized (a possibility for lineout?).

(* Couldn't find detailed specs for the chip but possibly this could be a ESS 9018 chip with 384kHz / 32bitPCM audio decoding)

Wow!! Would be incredible if it could do line out!

The Meizu Pro 4 (and most likely Pro 5 also) can so it's definitely possible.

I was settled on getting the Pro5 but now I think prices for the LG and the Meizu will be the deciding factor since they both looks great.

I beleive LG is prepared for something really special. The name change here (V series instead of G) might be another indication for that. I love my G3. LG got my heart with it. So I am expecting good things with V10. Even if it is pricier than Meizu, it can be worth... You have a big company and its warranty worldwide backing you. Another good reason is the replaceable battery and up to 2TB of microSD card support (even if it doesn't exist).

I was just looking at those Meizu phones, but it looks like Meizu doesn't account for US LTE bands so I'd be stuck with 3G speed :frowning2:

Hmm I thought they solved that on the Pro 4. I must remember wrong....

Edit: Yep, remembered wrong.....again

I am not sure about the details about the takstar models, I heard about them being discontinued from @peter123  Hmm now I am paranoid if my hyper cloud one is different from the original Pro 80 tuning. I had gemini HSR 1000 but it was long time back and I ended up returning it.

This is the specific one that I purchased: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?item_id=088078&cPath=569_1215

These are the rest of the hyperx gaming headphones which are priced differently. I hope I didn't get a gaming skewed one :frowning2:  http://www.canadacomputers.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=hyperx%20cloud%20&page=1&sort=3a

No return on headphones either lol damn

Heard about the discontinuation from Peter as well.

I didn't mean to imply that the cloud/hyper variants are tuned for gaming, was just wondering aloud. I did read a favourable review of the 1st generation models in regards to music. Haven't read much about the newest models. I guess the best thing would be to trust your ears

BTW the model I was looking at was on NCIX, but it would've been cheaper at the time just to get a pro 80 shipped from China. Ended up getting the hp150 in the end.

Guys I've got a question for you :

I'm listening to a pair of headphones and I'm starting to believe that there's something wrong with them.

Voices are really distant and hollow and have kind of a echo to them. To be honest it sounds as if one driver is slightly ahead of the other. Anyone have experience with this and any idea how to troubleshoot?

Could very well be. How do I confirm it?

Here you go Peter. I've seen someone talk about this issue before I think. This might help! If not, there should be other tests on this site to determine there is a problem. Hope it helps buddy!

I LOVE the universal remote on my G3.

If they keep the remote and maybe improve its function I'm sold on the v10

I feel the same way for the remote. I use it on a daily basis. Especially very helpful while in the classroom because every class have a different brand LCD projector, usually I need to pick the remote from an officer before the lecture. So this simple but brilliant feature saved a lot of time and effort...

On the sound department G3 is really very very good. I love the user interface and knock code feature as well as knock-screen lock.

Maybe the Pro 5 will have US LTE bands now that Meizu is making the Nexus?

Let's hope so. If not I'm ready fir the LG
