This news made me "LOL"

There is no limit for an audiophile

Audiophiles in Japan are installing their own electricity poles: https://www.engadget.com/2016/08/15/japan-audiophiles-install-own-electricity-poles/

Kinda went a close route to this years ago Bay on my home rig. Had a filtered 20Amp circuit put in just for my cave and put a RG Pole Pig, Sub Station and a couple of RGP 400's and I think in the end I had some nice power gears but could not tell where my $$$$$ got me in the end

VPN? The beta version of Opera has a free one built in. Should get you around those idiotic geo-tagging issues

I agree it is rather sad that at times its way easier to pirate something than to legally purchase it.

well good news is that Qobuz carries it in Cd quality so I just have to figure out how to make an account and get it going :)   Thanks for the heads up Trev, I am gonna try it out tonight and see if it works. They have a ton of albums on there I have always wanted to buy in lossless so if this works, my offline collection is gonna get a WHOLE lot sexier

Haven't tried doing any purchases yet, but could confirm that I was "located" in The Netherlands

Guys need a bit of assistance, trying to narrow down some choices. If anyone has heard any of the following and can shed some light on how they compare please chime in :)

Senn HD380 Pro - $100
ATH M50x - $175 CDN
SRH 840 - $150 CDN

I just want a good sounding closed back for listening at home or outside occasionally and I don't care much for looks, as long as it sounds good. If any of them are clearly superior to the rest that would make my choice a LOT easier.

I'd take the SRH840, they're a good headphone I owned for a while.

So good that you no longer have it

I heard the ATH M50x for a few minutes and knew it was not for me, V shaped if I remember correctly.

Have look at the ATH MSR7 Vs Yamaha HPH-MT220 in post below - I remember Twister6 liking the MSR7 but some people find it a bit fatiguing.

I sold them only because they hurt my neck when laying down at night in bed. Same with my SRH940.

SO THERE...

........... That brings up a good point about pillow friendly Headphones (and perhaps some IEM's) as a lot of us can only lye on our backs for 20-30 minutes before they ache and have to turn onto our side which is usually an uncomfortable experience!
