The dynamic drivers in the Degauss Labs Noir are 13.5mm large so they deliver a very deep and solid bass while the balanced armatures deliver all the rich clarity and details. They also have 3 button controls for Android, Windows and iOS and you can download a special app to customize the functions. The braided cable reduces microphonic noise. The shell is all made of aluminum with some rubber coating on the back for extra durability. It comes with silicon and memory foam ear cushions. I really like the design, it is elegant and clean. The price is 130$ but many say they rival about 300$ earphones. I am going to buy them soon and I let you know what I think when I finally get my hands on them.

It says on their website that the dynamic drivers are 10mm but that is incorrect, I spoke staff members and they said the drivers are actually 13.5mm.

Hey all

firstly, I have yet to hear a hybrid iem. What comes closest to the bass quality/quantity of the HD650 phones? Sony hybrid? Dunu? some other brand ?
I dont intend on going custom until I really understand what type of SQ I like best in a universal iem. One day!

I just love the relaxing just highly immersive sound of the HD650...I have the stagediver SD-4 in for review atm and it nails so many things well for me..immersive soundstage, lovely detailing but I find the bass though present too faint and the mids recessed.

What you'll find is many hybrids (at least what I've heard / owned) a majority of them lean towards being on the brighter side of the spectrum. Fidue A83, Dunu DN-1000, T-Peos Altone200, AKG K3003, Tralucent 1Plus2, etc etc. Of the warmer / smoother hybrids I've heard Aurisonics ASG-2 is quite a deep atmospheric hybrid, Audiofly AF140 another, Sony H3.

Can any FidueA83 owners comment on this?

Try the reviews page - http://www.head-fi.org/products/fidue-a83-reference-class-triple-hybrid-iem/reviews

I wouldn't take graphs as solid foundation on how an IEM sounds, one thing I learnt real quick. Take the Aurisonics ASG-2 for example, quoted by one to be worse than a telephone receiver yet it's one of the best hybrids I've heard. Haha...

I own the A83, it sounds amazing!

yeah, we all have different ear canals so it could and would sound different from those graph suggests.
