I'm really stuck choosing between the X3 as a standalone or getting the C3 with a C&C BH, anyone able to give me a brief comparison? I'll be using this with my Signature DJ.

Just get the X3. The C3 UI is very inconvenient.

I would like to know the same thing. My C3/BH3 combo sounds so good, I am afraid the X3 may be a downgrade. It's UI may be a minimal folder based system, but using the folders like playlists makes it very usable. But the C3/BH2 clarity, soundstage, black background, and slam makes it a powerful competitor.

So what is the most recommended sd card for this? 64 gb sdxc or sdhc?

there is no 64GB sdhc...sdhc only goes up to 32GB. All 64GB are therefore sdxc.

I hate my Cowon Z2 for its inability to handle tags properly (which the J3 was totally ok with) : Artist > Album > Tracks which is a must for multi disc like opera, unless I 'retag' everything.
So pleazzzzzzzz Fiio, just correct this, and your X3 will be mine
Cheers

I mentioned 64 gb sdxc or sdhc (indirectly referring to all memories 32gb and lower). Do you know what I should go for?

The logical thing to look at is how much music you want to carry with you.
If it's over 38GB (you've internal memory as well) you should get a 64GB microSDXC.
so far it has worked perfect with my X3 for me. So if you have the money for it, get one.
