BTW, someone asked me to provide the photos of the PCBA of our X3,  I think the best way is post in here to so you don't need to disassemble your X3 and lost the warranty.

Hi,
Found this English user guide for X3 from head sound.de website. Hope this helps.

Excerpt from the manual:

X3 can work while charging?
Yes, listening to music while charging is allowable. But it is suggested to charge it with power off so as to avoid prolonged charging time and slight fever

made me LOL

I paid Audiothinker for an X3 via Ebay a couple months ago - there was an initial delay because they had no stock (despite them assuring me that they did when I asked if they would be able to deliver promptly). The delivery company here in the UK gave it to someone with no connection to me or the address it was supposed to be delivered to. After chasing the UK delivery company loads of times and receiving no sensible response I emailed Audiothinker several times advising them that they needed to claim on their postal insurance. Audiothinker ignored my requests so I now appear to have lost the money I paid for the device (including some hefty postage costs).

I would recommend that anyone thinking about buying from Audiothinker should be very careful.

I have now purchased a different player from Soundfidelity - service from Soundfidelity was brilliant and the player arrived at the same address that the other one was supposedly delivered to in under two days.

Sorry for the moan but I think it's worth warning people to be careful about vendors like Audiothinker who lose interest once they have your cash.

Just an update on this - Ebay reconsidered their original decision and I have now received a full refund.  I'd like to make it clear that the bad guy in all this was the UK delivery company Parcelforce. Audiothinker sent the item but Parcelforce either delivered it to the wrong address or the driver stole it.

Hi James,
I tried to look up the U.S. places you suggested but not much luck. Can you please provide contact information for where I can finally purchase the X3? Will it be available on Amazon soon?

Thanks,
Russ

X3 just delivered to U.S on couple days ago so it will not appear on amazon or other online shop in short time. I think you still need maybe 10 days to purchase it in U.S

Just got mine in the UK, too. Just about got enough charge in it to used on my tube journey this morning. I'm an audiophile neophyte so take this with a pinch of salt, but so far I'm loving it. The only problem I've had so far is that it doesn't read the tags from my AAC files so I'm navigating by folder ATM.
