You mean 9 plus the one you are reserving?

They aren't taking reserves. The guy said about 4 ppl called in already saying they will be there to pick one up as soon as it arrives. The guy is also going to have a demo unit too.

Or 0 now that word got out that you can reserve and that only 10 are comming in.

Only pretty decent? That's a huge letdown considering I ordered it as an upgrade to the Colorfly C3...

Look at the other devices he owns.....some serious high-roller DAPs there. So pretty decent to him, compared to DAPs four times the price.....you gotta try it yourself, most likely.

I hope that's true Haha.
I'll be receiving my X3 tonight. I'll let you guys know how the X3 compares with the Colorfly C3 after spending some time with it.
Unfortunately I don't use any amps, so you will have to make do with just the raw differences.

To really compare it to the C3, sound-wise, try to match the volume of the two players as closely as possible. If one is at a louder volume than the other, chances are that your brain will perceive the louder one as better sounding.

Looking forward to all your impressions, sound and otherwise...

Don't mind if you can check if Fiio X3 can  play "DVD-Audio (MLP 5.1 44.1kHz/24Bit, MLP 2.0 44.1kHz/24Bit | Dolby AC3 5.1) "?

James - are there any distributors in Australia or New Zealand getting early-ish batches of the X3, or is it only Europe, Asia and Nth America first up?

Oyaide is our distributor and I think X3 will launch Japan in July as the other countries.

Received mine here in the UK from audiothinker on ebay from HK.
Looks like an official product, all good here :)

Still burning in but sounds good so far..

one question...?  ref 64Gb cards.

I bought 3 Sandisk 64GB Ultra cards before the X3 arrived only to find the documentation states 32GB cards or smaller preferred! and
unless I have done something wrong, the devicde does not recognise them :frowning2:
Firmware v1.0 here.
Will these be supported in new firmware? or am I missing something?

Thanks

Have you formatted the card to FAT32? The X3 doesn't support exFAT (which seems to be the default formatting).

Works a treat and for those that have the same issue...

Windows 8 did not give me the option to format as FAT32 only exFAt32.

So..
1. Format TF card to NTFS and select it's a 64GB card
2. Search and download one of the the fat32format.exe programs from the internet.
3. Run that!

Works perfectly now, thanks hoichi :)
