I skimmed the 38 pages and it will be interesting as other people pointed out how it will compare to the Cowon J3.  One thing I like about the J3 is the size, X3 is a lot thicker, but the deal or no deal for me will be how it sounds without it having something similar to Jeteffect 3.0  and BBE+

I'm sure many Cowon owners like myself will be watching this with a whole lot of interest.....

i agree - im dying to upgrade my cowon of the past 3 years - its been great but time for something better and the dramas going on with the AK100 put me off. This X3 is the product a lot of us cowon owners have been waiting for. I will miss the almost never ending battery life of the cowon though :)

I'm curious whether the x3 has right/left balance control, like the E07. Thousands of people have requested apple to include this in the classic, never happened.

"Welcome to Head-Fi! Sorry about your wallet"

All availble info on X3 is on the first page.

But yes, this does feature it as far as I know based off whats been said and posted. (in terms of released features and specs)

Hardware Bass: +/-10dB, Frequency Center 100Hz
Hardware Treble: +/-10dB, Frequency Center 10Khz
Volume Setup: Custom start Up Volume
Listening Protect: Custom Maximum Volume.
Balance: L10~R10

its so refreshingly awesome to have a spokesperson from the very company we are discussing to chime in with info and answer questions on a regular basis - I wish others would take notice

Yes, kudos to you, James, for conversing here, with your potential customers. You'll gain a lot of respect from Head-fiers for doing so. I hope your competitors are watching and learning how customer relations should be done!

That is perhaps the first time I have heard someone say that. Being the head of the company is only the 'side position' at the company

What are your thoughts on Head-Fi?

There are many other audio websites that you probably go on as a represenative for FiiO. But what do you think of Head-Fi as a proxy for a good fan base?

I like to go to forums and talk, but I haven't met many other websites that had the draw of HF

 Really?

I know that China has a huge enthusiast audio market. Could Head-Fi actually be 'larger' and more 'established' than those?

I think that as the CEO of FiiO, who markets to Chinese and English speaking audiences that you can answer the best?

I would have thought other Chinese one would be bigger and more influential than HF?
