FW 3.0 was my first FW when I purchased the X3.  I updated it to FW 3.2 and can't believe how much the sound has changed. It's not drastic but it's a lot more brighter and less dark.  I think I like it.  Especially on my already dark sounding UMPRO30s.  Thanks to the poster who posted the FW 3.2 link.  Much appreciated.  Now I wait for Fiio to the official version.

Just noticed the autocorrect decided to type 'Me Trev'. No disrespect intended Mr Trev!

Damn autocorrect.

He should...why don't Fiio just use Mr Trev template for the next update...lol
That would be a great idea, they could keep the 5 other garish themes and make one Mr. Trev's list based. That would actually be useful!

I noted 6 albums had Literally Black cover art, despite photoshop and sony mediago could see it correctly... but no in the fiio... i tought it was a bug of the FW 3.2... but soon realized the JPGs had a bit-depth of 32 bit instead of 24 bits.... rescanned the covers and set bit depth to 24... problem solved

Make sure your cover (embebbed) is 24-bit depth and is baseline jpg (don't know if fiios have troubles with progressive jpg's)

Thanks for the luv!
Haven't spent any time with the mods lately, been waiting for an official version. Just got 3.2 last night so maybe I'll have some time to poke around today. With a previous version I've found that Fiio had changed some coords that seemed to conflict with my themes, so that may be the problem. I'm also hoping to port over the x1 theme as well - maybe port is too generous, I'll just "borrow" the gfx, rotate, and align for the vertical screen. Functionally it'll work the same as the lists.
Cheers.

Some one knows how to "clear" the used space by the old firmware.... wheni upgraded from 2.1 to 3.0 it went from having 7.04GB to 7.21GB.... now that i upgraded to the 3.2 FW.. dipped again to 7.08GB.... and i cannot see the partition or so to format it

Well, you can't "see the partition" since there is none.

[EDIT]
There is no partition table containing the structural elements/partitions of the firmware, so unless you are willing to completely rebuild the firmware then you're pretty much SOL.

Disk /dev/sdc: 7617 MB, 7617904640 bytes
235 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1021 cylinders, total 14878720 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x6b736964
This doesn't look like a partition table
Probably you selected the wrong device.
Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System

Partition table entries are not in disk order

  +1

So I had read that the current new x3 units were 'accidentally' loaded with 3.2 firmware (it seemed that James was himself surprised, from his last post few pages earlier).

Those mentioned bugs/feedback such as:-
'file system not supported or file not found' error,
'remembered' last track or position wrongly,
the 'improved' sound signature,
were all similar to what I had encountered when using the earlier test beta 3.00EX firmware Joe posted 2 months back.

imo, I think this 3.2 version should not be ready as official.

Me too. 'Im on 3.0 exfat and have had to switch last track off as it plays then plays a track off the internal memory. As much as I like the Yessongs version of Perpetual Change there are only so many times in a day. Haven't tried 3.2 yet but do prefer the exfat sound to 3.0.
