sorry for the late reply, some news of our X3

1, most feature is done, we will test how x3 support all kind of music, the most important is the APE format music. 192k/24bit Flac, WAV is not problem now.

2, the tool mold is under manufacturing.

thanks for everyone who support to us, will back to focus in X3 next month because now I need to focus in the production because we can meet the market demand for our amp now, and E11 will be launch market soon.

Will the X3 be as good as the e11, or will it be better? I`ve got a S9 and I guess it would be cheaper for me to add a E11 for the ue rm...

10-12 hours of music playback is a little too short for me, du to the fact some flights do take a little bit more time.

What the X3 should have is a zero ohm output for multi-ba drive custom in-ears... and the output (hopefully the E11 also) shouldn't generate any annoying hiss with low impedance devices.

... wondering when the products will be available in Germany. By the way if the X3 is better then the E11 I would like to pay some extra for longer battery endurance. I need more, much more.. FiiO please keep the travelers in mind...

thanks

We had already increase the battery life by use a bigger battery, but it is hard to balance the size, sound quality and the battery life. usually you get something and lose something

You might want to spend some time reading the older pages as a lot of detail has been covered - X3 won't have E11 amp section, but E7's.

X3 use the same amp section as E7, but depend on our test, due to we use different input mold, the sound quality of the amp section in X3 , is better than in E7.

The sound quality will not only decided by what kind of components it used  , but also depend on the power supply, different structure, different PCB layout.

E7: single end input , means input is L+Gnd and R+Gnd.

X3: differential input, means input signal is L+, L- and R+, R-

it is a little similar with single end output vs balance output.

Really looking forward to this DAP, if it can compete with lower end Hifiiman while having better UI and packaging we could be onto a really great product.

I have to say I don't really understand the reason for having gapless be something you can turn off. What's the point? Is it a battery life thing?

I can't say I've never seen this feature - I have a Sony ATRAC3 CD player where you can enable an option called "seamless," and it gave you gapless playback for ATRAC3 files. I couldn't figure out why they didn't just have that as an automatic thing. Again, I guess battery life? Anyway, I know this was discussed before, but it's bugging me. I can't figure out why you'd turn that feature off.

I could be wrong but from my understanding, the gapless is used for when you're listening to full albums like a live concert album that is best listened to gapless.. the reason it can be turned off? probably because if you listen to music track by track, it's not always nice to listen to them in a gapless manner.. imagine listening to something like classical music suddenly jumping to rock with no pause.. isn't that kinda weird? assuming the playlist is that random and just shuffles songs =P

Even played with gapless your still going to have a short delay between songs that were not recorded to be played as gapless. There is a bit of "silence" recorded at the beginning of songs. Your going to have a small bit of no music either way. Gapless is less of a gap between songs rather than a pause.

what if you're listening to a gapless track of a live classical concert and it automatically shuffles it's way over to another gapless track of a loud heavy metal album. I personally don't care if it has a "gapless off" switch since I never really shuffle like that and have few gapless recordings, but the more options a player has the happier I am.

Hi, I am VERY much looking forward to this dap, I have a sansa clip+ with rockbox now but dont find it any better then my iphone 4 headphoneout. Looking forward to price and release date!!! Especially sinceI will have my westone es5 custom iem in the beginning of may. I hope it will work well with iems and not have a lot of noise or volume imbalance. Have a nice holiday Greetings, Anouk,
