Found out something really interesting. This mod proves that current or older SDXC cards are really just over-sized/over-glorified SDHC cards. My friends Sansa Fuze reads my modded card just fine. Newer cards will have extra pins, but the older only had new formatting & partition schemes that can be relatively easily gotten around.

Micro sdxc cards will probably have the extra pins so this doesn't apply to the X3; but it is a great thing for Sansa Fuze/Cowon D2/D2+ owners.

BIG CHEERS for that mate  just bought myself a 64GB SDXC v3.0 card for my D2. There's life in the old horse yet :D ... Maybe I should stock up on a spare D2 just in case.

Anyone recall which opamps are being used?

It was mentioned earlier that the amp section would be the same as the E7 so it would be an AD8692 and TI TPA6130

Figured as much.  So listening to the E7 should be a nice indicator of what to expect.  The X3 is basically a DAP version of the E7 w/ 24/192 then.

Anyone know if the X3 will have crossfeed?  Also, this was the original, but it squishes too small to see so i had to crop it to fit the avatar box :[

Dang, I was hoping there wouldn't be another delay. Well, seems I'll be getting one of the first ones with some birthday money then.

They said ages ago August at the earliest. I'd rather they took their time with the firmware and stuff than rushed out something messy just to satisfy impatient people, it's not that long. Take a deep breath people, it'll be ready when it's ready.

I'm running into that issue with the Little Dot DP_I.  The hardware is great but the firmware is immature.  It's best to wait a while and let them iron out the bugs.  I think the companies do themselves a disservice by announcing the product so far in advance.  They are great at making hardware on a schedule, but designing good firmware is no easy task and takes a good deal of time.  So when a delay hits, their potential customers end up angry and impatient.

I'm willing to wait.

Cheers!
