Not sure.  From what I understand it should show up on http://www.fiio.net/en/supports/33.  It isn't.  It is posted on their forums at http://www.fiio.me/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=40437&extra=page%3D1

i was wondering why when i connect the fiio x3 2nd gen to an external amp through line out the eq does not work, do all fiio products work like that

by the way i am amping my x3 2nd egn with fiio e11 and boy the bass is amazing on my shure 846, its huge

No, with the X5 the EQ is active through line and coax out.
 
But there's a trick for the X3 II to make it work as well.

  Yep it's been a feature on the X5, X1 and now X3ii.

Then it is just me. Maybe because 98% I use line out and adjust volume on external amp, I did not have the chance to discover this alternative option to change volume. And never read about it.

Yes, I hope it will be fixed in the next firmware upgrade – in the right direction! (I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't in 1.1.)

I also say that more people should ask Fiio to do this! It makes a DAP hard to use, as most people still use EQ when using Line out.

on another note has anyone maybe think of asking rockbox devs to make rockbox work on fiio
