I've had my Dreamcast half broken for about 2 years now and I need to open it up to fix it anyway so you all might wake up one morning with a custom one sitting right on this thread's doormat.

Thumbs up on the thread.  Found it when googling painted HD600s.  I might get a pair, but I hate the blue granite or whatever it is supposed to be.

I do too. I've considered importing the drivers into an HD650.

Just installed 2 mini xlr chassis in my DT770 Premium 600 ohm. Turned out great!

Pay no attention to the blue tiger stripe effect in the pictures, my phone's camera does that.

Nice, clean work!  Why not 4 pin mini XLR to match the Audeze standard?

Someone asked me the same thing when I put 2 3-pin mini xlr pigtails on my D2000 too, I just wasn't thinking about it when I bought the connectors. I just went the 3-pin route again this time so I can use all my cables on both the DT770 and the D2000, and I don't plan on selling the cables separate from the headphones anyway.

Here are some pics of the D2000

right after I put the pigtails on

and now a more recent pic of them in their current state. I love the all black look of the TH600, so I blacked out my D2000.

Fair enough.  I have cable ADD, so making them compatible with other headphones makes sense for me.  Can't build new ones unless old ones sell.

And nice job on the black out.  I miss my D2000s quite a bit now.

Unfortunately I don't see myself ever owning a pair of Audeze headphones. The only pair I have ever found attractive were the LCD XC, but the price for them is just too high for me. The others' sigs aren't for me. If I buy a ~$1000 headphone it'll probably be the T1.

I did this DT990 dual entry mod for a headfier. The black 3.5mm plug is for PC audio, the silver one is for the PC mic input. The 2 3.5mm jacks on the cups are for a detachable 3.5mm mic, he can choose which side he wants the mic on. The cable has 2x 6' runs of Mogami w2893 (yes, 8 wires 4 wires to each cup; 1 for mic L+R+, and one for mic ground, and then audio signal and ground) sheathed in black paracord. Man, that was a tight fit.

Excellent job and implementation of a Mic solution.
