Not online, have to go to a record store. (hence the name). And I don't believe deals is the name of the game. Instead it is full price, but some things are offered only in stores, only that day.

Tempting price.  I picked up the 1st gen not too long ago and like it quite a bit for when I need some real quiet.  I wonder how much of a change between the two gens there is.

That's a very touchy turntable, often they're impossible to get dialed in at the correct speed, due to lack of fine tuning capability (the drive potentiometer's stepping isn't granular enough). IMO, it's worth about $200, so may not be the best deal out there.

Phasing them out to make way for the 1770/1880/1990 perhaps? Though, at these prices, I'm not sure the updates are worth the premium.
