Have you heard the Westone? I would not recommend them at all. Super bass boosted and plastic highs. They sit in their nice little box while my Sony MH1 get more use.

I had those Westones too.  Sent them back.  Even for $40 I wasn't very happy.  I almost kept them but there were better deals to be had at the time.  However, the build quality and accessories were very nice.

I bought a pair of brand new X2 at a much higher price a few months ago, no regret.
The $143 price for a used pair in good condition, it's a steal. If I haven't already bought the X2 I would jump on this with no hesitation.

I bought the X2 brand new but sent it back immediately because of the god awful chemical smell emanating from the pads.  Smelled like they had been drenched in shoe polish.

During my ownership of the SHP9500 I had the Project Polaris and that pairing was fantastic. I'd expect the same out of a Project Sunrise 3, Ember, Starlight, Vali 2, etc.

We're talking about the SHP9500 right? Thing with those phones is burn-in, at least 150hrs of LOUD music.
