Even at this price for X2, I prefer the $40 I paid for SHP9500. Absolutely love the sound and they are light as feather.  X2 has pronounced base compared to SHP and is extremely uncomfortable to wear with extreme clamping force.

guh... I couldn't resist. Just pulled the trigger on a "very good" WHD for $157.

I recently purchased the HE-400i during THAT Black Friday special, which was awesome. As good as they are, the sound signature isn't my favorite. Might switch to these X2s as my new primary at home.

I have both of those cans and the X2 is just plain fun. Enjoy!

Pretty pissed that I just bought a new X2 for 199 and now I could have saved $35 and purchased a like new used pair. I kinda want to order on and return the new one.

I wouldn't be too upset. I don't get a warranty... and it's not in the "like new" category, so I should expect a scratch or imperfection - but it is a gamble. might be fine.

There are like new ones available at $165 and I don't care about the warranty as the headphones are cheap enough. Not to mention, good luck processing any warranty claim with phillips. It's been well documented on this website that they're awful.

I almost hope they do release an X3 out of the blue by next month. We all have until Jan 31st to return our X2. Either way though, $150 is still a great price on good condition open box X2s.

You may not find the X2s comfortable, but many of us do.

If you're sensitive to clamping force, as many of us are (myself included), you should consider a gentle stretch next time. It worked wonders for my Sennheiser Momentum 1.0.

As an X2 fanboy, I admit this is a very real concern, as I prefer new headphones for the warranty.

Philips' customer service is egregiously terrible.

FYI:

The Philips X2 on Amazon WD is currently under review, so there might be something odd going on...

Cheers

I believe I bought the last pair of awd X2s. The reports on that thread have been troubling, but I'm not buying it.

I purchased mine in September and have experienced no issues, cosmetic or otherwise.

The people in the X2 thread are... an interesting bunch, and for the most part, aren't interested in listening to the headphones, but rather inspecting them for flaws/defects.

I just grabbed the open box pair out of curiosity, to see if there was anything to the complaints.

If I think there's nothing wrong with them, I'll just sell or trade them on the classifieds for cost.

HD 800 for about 1200 CAD on Amazon.ca (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001OTZ8DA?keywords=hd%20800&qid=1450652353&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1)  , that a little less then 900 US

Never mind deal seem to be dead. I guess it was a pricing error
