TOM...I find that response and the extremely fast selling out of the Denon to be too coincidental. I bet TOM didn't know what they were selling and pulled it realizing they were essentially giving away a $700-900 headphone with the DAC.
Good thing I thought about this. It's a great deal, but I really have 0 interest pr use for either product. I'm sure my modded t50s sound better than the 7100 and I have no need for a portable dac/amp. My x3 suits my needs on the go. If they would have emailed me last night I would have bought the combo though!!! Here comes a flooded FS section of 7100s!
Sooo tempted, just for the cans, but I have no use for the amp. If anyone wants to sell their cans for a reasonable price... I'm down. But it's hard to justify the suggested price after reading all those reviews.
Is it bad that I'm actually considering the TOM deal? I was going to purchase a presale for the Oppo PM-3... but this seems like a killer deal if it works out.
TOM never did answer my customer service inquiry from last thursday, and now they are "sold out" of
the deal. hope it wasn't too good to be true for those who did order it.
The Denon DA10 has some fantastic engineering in it and new features not available in any other
portable dacs, and is probably worth getting by itself if you need such a unit from other vendors.
Same. I'm not saying the guy who "confirmed" the deal was lying, but I find it strange he has a post count of 8 and no one else received a response from TOM.
