Has these ever been cheaper? I'm not sure considering but these prices are far below Amazon's lowest in history.

You would imagine amazon must have thousands of these in stock. It's already at 250+ thumbs up on slickdealsnet and its still early morning  in the US


Word is 10k of them available.

Right now SR-009s are $2990 through pricejapan.com, incl FedEx shipping, but if you don't want to mess with that the official Stax deal isn't too bad ($3750) and you may have less issues with warranty repairs through a US seller (not sure about that, never had to use Stax's warranty). What I always do is use AmEx to buy through pricejapan so that I get double warranty through AmEx, and then don't have to worry about it.

FYI guys, if you have an AmEx but aren't using to buy electronics stuff online, or anywhere for that matter, you're making a mistake. The Platinum and Centurion cards are especially badass in this regard. :)
