Why? An explanation would be great for those who are thinking about it.

For starters, the nozzle is short and thick. Along with big housings, it may be uncomfortable for some and might require shallow insertion (which often results to earphones falling off due to unsecured fit).

And for those who might want a relatively less bass IEM, the lime green VSD3 is still $46 on LMUE.

The T1-E are a fantastic IEM at their price, I don't want to say they "push above their price bracket" or anything along those lines as that does seem rather cliche these days.

I certainly had some fit issues with them when I got them and don't really wear them cable over ear but tip rolling with the t1-e is particularly hard and can yield some decent results. The complaints as of late I've been seeing with people have been about fit which is valid and some complaints about recessed mids which I honestly disagree with. They certainly are not a mid forward sound but in my opinion an L shaped signature, neutral with a nice bass boost.

I have been seeing them around that price lately at random times. The lowest I saw them go for were like 90 bucks during this year ( I think March or April?)

Still a good price, especially if you dont get charged tax. I got mine for 116 around June. They are discontinued but im sure there is a buttload of them still in stock, hence why they have dropped in price lately. They are normally priced or were priced at 200........

Edit: Pfftt just noticed that you said AD900X not A900X lol

my bad

Sennheiser HD558 is at amazon for 113. I got mine for a little less this fall but its an excellent budget headphone that doesn't need to be amped.http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-558-Headphones/dp/B004FEEY9A/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1419561325&sr=1-2&keywords=hd518

Side by side to the q701, the ad900x is grainier....
But I only like the q701 for classicals , not vocals.
Ad900x brings the music up close ..generally good for most genres.

Thank's for the input!

I'm really 50/50 on the AD900X right now...
It's the lowest I personally have seen (it's not really on my watch list...). It doesn't really have a good following around here (very mixed opinions) and the general consensus is that the AD1000X is better in every way (though that one is Japan exclusive and its price tend to stay static). But I really still want to have a taste of AT's house sound and aptly use it on (Japanese) female vocals.

Bah... I think it'll depend on whether I get a good or bad dream tonight... and if it's still on stock.
