Well I caved. I now have a fiio x3 en route! So excited

Me Too!  It was my ONLY BF/Thanksgiving weekend purchase (pay NO ATTENTION to that RA-1 or the PS1000s approaching in the mail!!! They were used, so do not count as "Black Friday" deals (but they were Great Deals!!!))

I picked up one as well . . . along with some other cheap goodies.

Head's-up! The universally accepted top rated headphone of all time is about to go on sale in an amazon lightning deal! Don't miss it!

Beter than the Abyss! Better than HiFiMan! Better than Audeze!

tempted by the HE-400, but i also have he X1 already (and D2000)...i think i'm probably better off saving the money and going straight to HE-560/LCD2 or TH-900.

IMO, the HE-560 is the value in upper mid-fi/lower summit-fi. It's almost exactly like an HE-6 (which is like a "baby" Stax SR-009) but easier to drive. Right now they're my favorite full-size cans under $1400, hands down.

Thanks for all the responses RE headphones for flying.

These would be for 8hr+ flights. Would something like Momentums be OK?

Will go through current sales, hopefully find something suitable with a healthy discount.

Not the on-ears.  Those start hurting after a few hours.  They also don't isolate very well.  They also don't sound particularly good.

Well, the action here has been mind boggling...managed to keep up with the posts for better or worse...LOL.  At least no more headphones purchased but I did jump in for the UERM's.  Curious to see how I like them as they're CIEM's and they'll be all mine for a long time....

Thanks to this thread, I found my ideal price on some budget beaters. Meelectronics a151 on mass drop for $32 thanks to all the massdrop links. Came close to the hd598 deal, but resisted based on already owning the hd600. As a jazz listener, I'm looking for a lower price on a q701, or k701. Need those highs and a contrast to the hd600's.

Got me, lol, meant to say UERM from Logitech, guess I have both on MY mind as they are both on Massdrop. Oooops...

Just to be sure, the best offer for IEM at the price range of 100+-$ is still the gr07 bass right?

Seems so.

Looking for a sub $200 iem deal! Want a iem for travel and work! Let me know if there are any great deals! I've been looking but mostly everything is for regular headphones!

Thanks !

Even I'm looking but preferable <150USD
