Outstanding for what?
can you please do an mini compare against SE846 you have.

They are both great IEMs.  I find the 8.0s to be balanced from the highs through the lows with complete control over the entire spectrum.   The SE846s are good overall but really shine in the lows.  The clarity and impact of the "sub" base is incredible.  However, I find that I grab my 8.0s more often than the Shure's.

Do you know what you're looking to buy or need input with regard to which such amps do that best?  Both?

I guess a little bit of both.  I've seen there are many threads with recommended amps.  Currently I use a Soundblaster ZXR sound card, but thought black friday might be a good time to pick up an amp or amp/dac unit.
I've been looking at the Sennheiser HDV-800, but may be just a hair over what I wanted to spend which is around $1000 or less.  I figure a good black friday deal on an amp would be my focus this year.

There are entire threads in others parts of this forum devoted to the HD 800 and what powers it well/best.  You should probably first spend some time there.

So this thread is still the best for black friday deals on headphone amps?

Yes--especially if you know what you want to buy.

I'm interested in these but do you think it's worth a $300 price difference between these and the HD 650s?

I've owned both and neither was exactly what I was looking for in a headphone. The T1 was closer to what I want than the HD 650 but in the end both were sold. A headphone being worth a certain price over another is entirely subjective. To some yes but to others no. If you can audition both of them at a store or a local Head-Fi meet then you can decide for yourself.

You guys think price will get lower than this in the next couple of month? I have no clue to what is a good price for a new or used one.

Seen the T1s as low as $699 both Ebay (I believe Sonic Express or BuySonic as seller) and Amazon for $750.
