Hey, a monitor is just the screen to display the music selection! It's all part of the listening chain.

I apologize if youa re site impared, and that is why you need such a large monitor. Assuming you are not, you will get whiplash turning your head so much with such a larch monitor!
If you just want a large monitor and you can see "normal" sized text on the screen, you might consider one or two MonoPrice 30" IPS monitors. They go on sale often.
No, I would not be sitting that close. I'd be 6 ft away, using wireless keyboard/mouse. Mostly for gaming/streaming is all.

Too big. Go do your research about size/distance.

I'm 8 feet from my 60 inch, wish I have an 80 inch tv, YMMV.

Just for further derailment, I'm 11' from a 65" and it seems to be a good size for that distance.

Yup 10-12ft away from my 65" and it's good.

Normal human eye resolves about 1 arc min, or 1/60 of a degree, in normal light. If the 1,080 pixels of the vertical dimension of a HD TV subtend a larger angle than one arc minute, you will see individual pixels (i.e., you are too close).
A 65" diagonal HDTV has a 9 : 16 aspect ratio , height vs. width. The height will be (according to Pythagoras' Theorem) 31.9 inches, so each pixel will be 31.9/1080 = 0.030 inches high.
The distance at which a 0.03" high object subtends a 1/60 of a degree angle is given by the height of the pixel (.03 inches) divided by the tangent of 1/60 of a degree angle (which is .000291).
That distance is (0.03) / (.000291) = 103 inches, or 8.6 feet. If you are closer than this, you will see individual pixels.
That distance also corresponds to 1.6 times the diagonal measure on the TV screen (65" * 1.6 = 104"), so you can scale that "pixel resolving distance" for other TV sizes.
So 11 feet away from a 65" TV is not too close.
Another trick you can use, if you are in a TV store without a ruler, is to spread your thumb and pinkie finger as far apart as possible, then turn them to span vertically at full arm's length. If the height of the TV screen, as you see it from where you are with your hand between you and it, is greater than your thumb-to-pinkie distance, you are likely too close.
Of course, you can get as far away as you want, but generally folks prefer to be as close as possible, within the resolution limit set by pixel size as described above.

I apologize for the terrible format. Just trying to note that new JET.com members (Free Membership) ordering through iOS app get a 20% off code, plus and additional 7.33 instant savings in my case for the FiiO x3 (2nd Gen). So for 152.66 I was able to get this DAP. Only complaint is shipping time is about 2-5 days compared to what most folks are used to, 2 day shipping.

Just got fabulous customer support from sonic electronix, who often has deals here, helping Beyerdynamic and their authorized US distributor fix a problem on my Beyerdynamic A 200 p belt-loop headphone DAC and amp. When the headphone connection became intermittent (since I use it ALL the time), I thought I'd have to get a new one, but then found it was covered under a 2 year warranty.
I informed Beyerdynamic, who directed me to their US repair representative, to whom I sent the unit. They returned it with new cables and case, but the intermittent headphone jack problem persisted. I asked for a replacement, and the repair representative said that Beyer told them that since they no longer sell the A 200 p, they could not provide a new unit, so I (again) sent my unit back for re-repair.
Then Sedric of sonic electronix inquired (since I had bought the unit, as well as several other things, through them), and when I told him the problem, he worked to get a new unit from a Beyerdynamic distributor that DID have it to me. It just arrived and the new unit is GREAT. Thanks, Sedric and sonic!
