Vizio makes very good tvs at very reasonable prices, but beware if you have strong opinions regarding data privacy. It seems Vizio is effectively subsidizing the cost of their tvs by collecting vast amounts of data about its users, then selling it. What they're doing would be illegal for phone or cable companies, but is OK because they make tvs.
You can Google this (especially the wirecutter.com article) if you want more information, I just don't want to derail this thread.
I read this at overclock.net yesterday but keep in mind, smart TV's in general are logging in your info as well and it's not just to be blamed on Vizio, it just seems the other companies keep it really hidden or probably don't do it as aggressively as Vizio.
I'd like to think that everything that is 'smart' will have to capture all your info and habits in order for it to make decisions or show you some advertisement.
That's perfect for BeatsWork. Then he can keep his matching black bikini briefs![]()

I've had my eyes on this set to use as a computer monitor. I wish there were more reviews but it was released just for doorbuster sales. From what I understand it's similar to the m-series but with cheaper materials to keep the costs down. Best Buy is also selling this one for $999 on BF.
