Yes.

Which one: t1,t1.2 or t1.3 ? (large differences)

Oh yeahh, there is a new one. :D I'd be happy with any of them tbh. Don't get me wrong, I do use the dt880 99% of the time for a reason. Just them old beyer cables are horrendous! Its like a deformed long skinny snake or the coil is just too heavy at times on one side haha XD I would not mind an Amiron Home either!

Be prepared for a bassy headphone on the T1.3. I love the 3rd Gen though, also love the 2nd Gen. The old Beyer cables do suck, the T1 cables are a bit stiff but I like them personally. The Amiron Home and Gen 2 are similar tuning wise. Amiron Home’s cable is fantastic though, malleable, lightweight, and nice feeling. Nothing I’ve heard sounds like a Gen 3 in terms of tuning. I do hear the T1 signature sound in it though and technically great, best Beyer I’ve heard technically outside the DT 48/480.

Has anyone here had the 400i and the DT 880? I currently have the 400i and I like how it sounds apart from flat bass however I'm not finding it comfortable at all. I was considering trying the DT 880 250 ohm instead. Can anyone say for sure how it compares, would the 880 sound worse

I have both (400i and 880-250). I prefer the sound of the 400i, but not by a wide margin. The 880 is indeed more comfortable, but the 400i is comfortable enough for me. My 400i is a 2017 model (bought in June 2017). If you do not like the bass of the 400i, you may like the 880 better than I do, because I like the bass of 400i.

I've tried the DT 990 and I find the treble to be to sharp for me, is the DT 880 better? I've read some reviews and some seem to say that the treble is still pretty sharp

DT 880 has less treble, however the treble is still more noticeable than e.g. Sennheiser HD6xx/HD58x. Some people would say you just need to EQ them. Personally I am rotating the headphones, so I want them to sound different. Also Beyers come with black or gray pads, the former have more bass.

I just don't know what to do at this point, 400i sounded great but weren't comfortable, hd 560s were defective, dt 990 were to sharp...

Then it’s DT880 or AKG K70X...

I don't want the responsibility of making the decision for you. Perhaps you can approach it "scientifically" by comparing the charts? They tend to show the harsh treble peaks:

Thanks

The peak treble still seems to be there in the DT880's, I was hoping someone could confirm directly if it's less sharp than the DT990 to them. I find the DT 990 very sharp, the DT 880 seems like it still has a harsh treble so would I notice it? I wonder how the DT880's compare to the HD 599...

Some didn't agree with this view previously, but I still can confirm he does the best job of anyone on youtube at giving the most realistic sound impression you can get. And I think I mostly agree with his opinion. He spends a lot of time tuning and altering the sound of his recordings to make sure they sound the same as when he hears the headphones by ear. Even really well known reviewers like Z Reviews do sound recordings but they honestly sound terrible and muddy and not the slightest bit reflective.

This video is about the K702s DT880s and HD58Xs. I think he is a bit harsh against the DT880 and K702 as you can change the sound with ear pads, but he has a point that the HD58x seems to sound more accurate out the box.
