Pads also matters a lot. I can confirm that - I compared two T1.1 with different serial numbers and also swap their pads - makes a difference (actually not in treble amount but in midrange and air).
Maybe the hours of use are of influence? Some HPs keep burning in until after dozens of hours listening?

Does the 600 ohm version scale much higher with better equipment like some of the Sennheisers?

I have DT880 PRO 250 Ohm. Pro does have bigger clamp force and coiled cable. There should not be difference in the sound.Looking to get one of these, 250 or 600 ohm version, but then there are also the pro, edition, etc etc.... It's confusing me
