Does any one know of a reputable US based vendor that is still selling these?  Besides that one vendor on Amazon who has had only 1 in stock for the last several weeks.

They seem to be out of stock here in Japan, with remaining vendors jacking up the price. There *might* still be a pair in one of the local stores here if you're interested.

The AD2000X is 64,800 yen, or about $815. I'm extremely tempted to get a pair as when I tried them in Tokyo they sounded pretty good.

They're not in the US, but Addicted to Audio in Melbourne still have a few. I picked mine up from them about a month back. They haven't raised prices the last I saw.

Whoever says these don't have bass is mistaken...it's not LCD-3 or LCD-2 bass, but these definitely have bass.  I'm early in the burn-in process but bass is not lacking at all.  Very very musical cans so far.  Lively is a good word for them.

I agree the bass is not denon d7000 like but its better quality for sure. The bass is very tight and controlled and goes pretty low. I am perfectly satisfied with the bass of the headphone. Very happy with my purchase and also happy that supply is drying up as the value will go up but I like it so much its a keeper form me.

Happy to have these back for sure. Spent the evening with some Sarah McLachlan live and trying to decided between OTL and vintage for these guys. I think Vintage gets the nod.

The low light makes the photo look vintage too. :xf_eek:

On a whim I checked a local electronics store to see if they still had a pair. They had the display pair for sale, opened, but in pristine condition, so I nabbed them in case anyone still wants a pair.

Btw, guys... I almost forgot to link my little review up over here. I'd paste the content here, but I don't feel like setting up all the pictures properly :)

Nope, just lowly D7ks.

The D7000s were the TH-900s of their day.  They were my introduction to the head-fi world.  I have a lot of respect for them and wish I had never sold my pair, so keep 'em til they fall apart, I say. :)
