Doing great! My toe is all healed and feeling well. No more stuck in bed because it hurts to walk.

Got me a new toy in today, a BBE Sonic Maximizer. I've been seeing these for years but I never did end up with one for some reason or another. Then I found out they make a small balanced version so I figured what the hell, let's do it. I haven't hooked it up yet so my thoughts are still forthcoming, but I'm pretty stoked to give it a listen.

Years ago, I had the car audio version (BBE SM-3012 or SM-4012), which I modified.
Removed the Fader control, and cut out & jumpered the circuit board where it was soldered - and installed the switch / potentiometer for an Audio Control Epicenter Bass Enhancer.
I thought it was a good sounding combination.

I love Audio Control stuff. That's sounds like a nice modded piece.
I still have the last piece of gear from the late 80's/90's that used to be from my car audio days. I would have used it in my last install, but the techs said without tearing it apart and checking all the connections (it is almost 30 years old), it may have introduced too much noise and would be a PITA to fix once integrated into the system. It now supports my Lyr 2/Bimby (same footprint)

Nice Rich, I had that same EQ in my '88 16V GTi. Had 3 soundstream amps and a whole bunch JBL and Pyle drivers in it. Ah the good old days

I had also modified a Pioneer head-unit, by adding a pre-amp ouput / pre-amp input loop, just before the fader circuit, so I could use the two-channel signal processors, and the head-unit fader.
.
Through the years, I had considered getting the Audio Control Crossovers & EQs, but didn't have the money or space for such a complex system.

88 GTI, now that was a fun car to drive...I had a mix of Alpine, Rockford Fosgate and Boston Acoustics. Yes, indeed, good old days.
