This is sort-of about portable audio - I stopped by Car Toys today, to order a JL Audio JD500/1 Mono Subwoofer Amp, to use with the Infinity REF1200S (12" Shallow-mount Subwoofer) that I'm going to install in the Atrend 12SME (Sealed 0.62 cu-ft Enclosure), to place under the luggage compartment floor (on top of the spare tire) in my 2020 Subaru Forester. It will probably be a couple of months before I'm ready to have Car Toys install the amp, and integrate the subwoofer & amp with the DSP in the VX800/8i (main system amp).

I’m not into car audio; I prefer listening to the exhaust sound of my M3.

WOW - When

Started this hours ago... one interruption after another

On May 11th, 2009 Tom and I went to see Andrew Bird at Shepherds Bush Empire in London. My younger son (now gone) and my daughter were visiting from Michigan and we managed to get tickets for them too. Amazing show! We all had a great time. Fabulous musician. It was the Noble Beast tour. This is from another album... Hands of Glory. One of my favorites.

This next song has become part of my very being. Probably my most listened to album in recent years. The lyrics cut deep into me ... particularly the final verse.

Finally:
Hobotalk. There are two songs on the album "Beauty in Madness" that have the word "When" in the title.
"Never Said When" and "When They Call Us In. Unfortunately Youtube seems to not be allowed to play them but I can and will share the title track. Shortly after we lost Tom @HungryPanda to Covid, @Layman1 recommended the album and dedicated "When They Call Us In" to Tom. I bought the CD.

I feel this album. I am an album listener. I don't just listen to random songs and I never shuffle.
