Big thanks to @Layman1 @Wyville @KEV G
You guys are awesome. Really appreciate the details that everyone provided.
I already have the IT03 and love that thing. Was out with it this morning.

Listening to older Trent Reznor:

Was seriously rocking that bass line...

I had been reading that the IT04 is too close to the 03 to make any significant difference. Hmmm....
I love the way the U4 is described. Definitely want that warmth and tickle of detail. The FH7s brightness may turn me off (reason why I didn't keep the FH5). I need to do some digging on the OH500. Thanks for the comments and feedback. I'll let you know what I come out with. I think a cable from ISN is inevitable.

Got some custom grills in today for my Thieaudio Phantoms, I'm loving the dark stain look. Here are a couple pics:

Is that laser-cut wood?

Love that color. Looks like a great mod. Is it metal? It looks heavy...hard to tell from the picture.

Yessir it is. So light.

Thanks, I can't stop looking at them, lol. It's wood and lighter than the stock metal grills for sure.

Damn, too bad about Baker, what a loss. Sad to see so many of the artists I knew growing up passing along. Makes you feel a bit old...

Echo the comments on the U4 - very nice monitor in the mid-fi price bracket.

Given your preference for a warm sig with hints of detail, you might want to add the oBravo Cupid to your research list. It has pretty spectacular bass response (not too bassy, but great sub bass reach and bags of texture and speed) and a planar driver running in tandem for the mids and highs. Gives it a really rich, organic tone with plenty of technical ability in the background of the sound.

They have a slightly funny mmcx connector, but if you go with the upgrade package, you get a very nice 2.5mm balanced cable chucked in as well.

It's got a slightly different timbre/sound to my other gear, but it is VERY addictive once you get used to it. Very strong entry in the under $500 space imho.
