I'm waiting for a very, very, very slighly auditioned P1 to become available from a lounge member.
I'm hoping that doesn't happen, but it might, lol.

It is a bit like an audio Swiss army knife, isn't? I have had my eye on it before and seeing it again rekindles that interest. Seems like such a versatile piece of kit.Well, so far I've tried it with my laptop to IEMs and my M1060, and with my Hiby R3 to my M1060 and I'm loving it. I don't think any other portable amp has the juice of the iDSD. If I hadn't already heard the great warm detailed 70's receiver-like sound of my A-100, I wouldn't be upset using the BL as both my desktop and portable amp. It's a great little device, and I didn't realize how much I missed this level of functionality.
OK a little on the R6pro after a little listening and usage and remember still early.
I love it it's amazing, I still haven't tested sensitive iems yet though or WiFi or Battery but this is a fantastic dap build and sound.
I'm going to try lol to explain why I actually do prefer the Hiby to the 208... Firstly stereo imaging, the way this pans and separates is the best I have heard period, its my favourite thing about it and probably why I like it so much, Its more fuller, its more dynamic and even though being similarly smooth the treble isn't as harsh, not that the 208 is but it's so smooth that even with this full dynamic sound you could honestly listen to this for hours fatigue free... I love neutral and I like treble, I'm not realy a bass head.. This has slamming tight textured bass, it is slightly warm, mids/vocals sound full and vibrant, the treble is slightly rolled but not overly, its a very full sounding dap with excellent dynamica and bags of power, makes the 208 seem a bit thin even though it definitely isn't ....it rewrites everything I like pmsl but I wouldn't trade it for the 208s neutrality, it's highly musical and certainly not sterile, if it remains stable, charges and discharges properly, WiFi works fine which I haven't checked then this DAP is good enough to end game for a while for me, I would pay full price for this if I had heard it at canjam.
Did I mention the stereo imaging just checking. Lol
I listened to led zep whole Lotta love it's one of my test tracks, slamming bass and in the middle section where it sounds like bees buzzing around and drums panning left to right it was the best I have heard ever! it was so well done.. Give this a few more days testing but if it stays the same it'll be a 100 percent keeper and for quite a while.
Have you got any binaural recordings?
I'm planning to get some soon and see how it 'feels'. I listened to a demo of a classical one at a stall in CanJam in 2017; can't remember the name of the company, but they specialised in h-res and binaural recordings. It was pretty remarkable.
Anyway, with the stereo-imaging-panning thing that you may or may not have mentioned once or twice, I think you'd be in for an aural treat
Hey Majo, glad to hear that you are really liking the R6 Pro!
I wonder if there is much difference between the £500 R6 and the £800 R6 Pro? I reckon that the DAP makers are getting a bit too greedy with their prices!
I have started to use bluetooth a lot, so how does your R6 Pro sound?
Hey Jerick, how is your N6ii sounding over bluetooth as I remember when you first got it, you said that you heard some electrical noise?
Nice to see you too buddy!@Wyville Great to see you on here again my friend
And that's a great piece of music!
Been enjoying your reviews, but definitely come and chill out for a while here with us
How do you like it? I just finished writing my review and it is a really nice DAP. Had a lot of fun doing things I usually never do with a DAP like browsing SoundCloud, listening to BBC Radio documentaries and playing Solitaire (okay, that last one was just a running gag in the review).
Nice to see you too buddy!
Yeah, wanted to take a (semi-)break from reviewing for a while to focus on some other things, as well as getting a bit more time to enjoy music without the need to write about it afterwards. Never actually intended to go quite as far as I have with my reviews, but after joining Tw6 I found out what a slavedriver @twister6 really is... Just kidding. Nah, Alex is great, I just got into a flow and kept going without maintaining a proper balance (and ignoring Alex's warnings). So what better to recharge the battery than sitting back and relaxing a little in the Lounge.
I tried the s6 rui on them, way more sensitive and hardly cranking it up, there is slight hiss but nothing to what I was possibly expecting maybe a different scenario with other iems though but honestly it never interfered with my listening pleasure.

ps. Just came here to lounge a bit after a busy period of reviewing and not enjoying my own gear enough. So to make a proper introduction, here is an awesome band I came across while working on my review of the Aurora IEMs. Still need to get my hands on one of their albums. Love it!
Glad you reached your this week/month end-game too.
I've personally never been too bothered by hiss, but after listening to the N6ii I've been listening for background hiss on other sources I own when paired with the Westone W80 which is very susceptible to hiss it seems.
Hugo2 - Some hiss.
xDSD - Some hiss.
N6ii - No hiss that I could detect.
Current set-up for the last couple of days has been N6ii to Westone W80, using a non-balanced cable. (I know 3.5mm out whatever next)
All I can say is for at least the Cayin A01-W80 pairing nothing is missing over the 3.5mm connection. I won't go as far as to say that the unbalanced connection is better though, just no difference to my ears over the 4.4mm output.
Il have a check of the N6ii at canjam as it looks more than likely I'm definitely going, all though I say that with a bit of reservation as you never know whats coming round the corner in my world
