Stay on 1.15 and consider 1.19 when it comes out.

Does anyone  prefer AK240/1.16 over RWAK/1.15 - with full bodied earphones like MH335DW-SR or K10's?

I would argue that because the background is darker, the instruments are better defined and therefore the sense of soundstage should be larger

You are correct.
I mentioned that it is a 'perceived' bigger soundstage from unbalanced.
Actually, of course with darker background, all is better. Those who are used to listening to a setup that rid of most ground noise will be used to it.
But those who are not (just had their first listen), think that the 'noise' is larger soundstage and at first impression, they think balanced (or setup with low noise) have narrow ss.

Thanks!

Ive ordered the TH-900 which should be OK with the A&K.

ive tested also a 256gb micro sd card and its perfectly working on my A&K so I can handle 512 Gb which is far enough for me :)

Cheers

did you tested it's capacity ?  maximum capacity advertised by Sandisk is 128 Gb ! It is this one

It is so easy to print a 256Gb label ... that there are plenty "fake" sandisk SD cards on EBAY, with much lower capacity than advertised on the label, and you don't know until you have really filled it with 256 Gb of data (they can be "programmed" to fool your computer to have displayed "capacity=256 Gb" by your computer, but do not have it)

Yes, thats a good point, frst thing I do with sd card is formatting in another format than the standard one and copy a single 200gb file, this is OK so I believe this is 256gb...

Now to be honest Im far from fullfilling the internal 256gb of the A&K...

  Hi all,

Im the new owner of an A&K 240 and I need to buy a closed headphones with it (have tried different IEM but dont like them - Shure 846 / Westone 60 / Shure 535 red...).

Right now I have a PS1000 but to take the plane or the train its not really the best headphones,I was interested with the Beyerdynamic T1 or T5p.

Now Id prefer to purchase the T1 but Im afraid it will decrease the battery faster than with the T5p (600 ohms vs 32ohms), can someone let me know how faster the T& will consume the battery vs the T5p when listening same files / same volumes or more?

Cheers

Vincent

I have been looking for a good set of closed cans too.   Have been thinking about the FAD Pandora Hope VI.  Heard good reviews of the combo, but waiting for reviews of the new Audeze closed cans before pulling the trigger.  Was hoping the upcoming Pandora X would be an option, but it seems to coming out at around $4K.  Too much for my pocket book.

I love all FADs especially the FI-BA-SS in-ear but honestly the Pandora wasn't that balanced to my ears. Great soundstaging, good detail levels, and so on was great but I'm personally looking at the Audeze too. Otherwise, I love my NAD Viso HP50s! The sound coming from the NADs plus the 240s was just so damn right. (sry bout the language) So neutral and so true!

  Sorry for my bad english...
I tried with a 256gb SD card and a Micro->SD adapter and it works perfectly (256gb in internal memory, 180gb in SD card).

If you are only getting 180gb on the SD card then it doesn't work.  What you seem to be saying is that it reads the SD card but only to a maximum of 180 even if you put in a 256gb card.
