I've searched through the thread but can't find an answer to this.

Does anyone know how to clear the automatically generated playlists on the AK? Since I did all my music transfers this weekend I now have a "Recently added" playlist with 11,000 tracks on it. I'd like to clear this away so that as I add actual "new" tracks I can easily get to them.

I tried tap/hold to see if the trash interface would come up, but no joy.

Hi cj,

I believe the only way to clear the recently added list is to do another upload. The list will then not show the 11,000 (wow!) songs but just the new upload.

By the way, I've never downloaded the application, "akgroovers+." I always thought this was an app to purchase songs from and that it was not open to U.S. users. My 240 is showing there is an update for this app, and now I have two little N icons at the top of my display, the other being for v1.16.

Am I correct in my presumption about the application?

Nope, that didn't do it. I did a new import and it just added to the total.

Really? I'm surprised by that. Perhaps there needs to be a certain amount of time to pass before the 11,000 songs fall off the list after a new upload. I'm interested in hearing how it turns out in the future ...

Have you tried Settings > Default Settings > Settings Reset, then choose Clear playlist option? I don't know if this will work for your problem, but all you'll lose is your personal settings (network, etc.), if it doesn't. Some of your artwork might also get scrambled but 'Initialize media scan', also under Default Settings, will fix that.

AK Groovers will be available if you change your time zone to Korea. Same with Qobus if you change to Europe.

question about the pef11 balanced lineout cable.

Does anyone know if there is any special electronics behind the little block piece with the A&K logo, or could I just make my own custom cable that would do the same thing?

Please let me know thanks.

You could, but then you would miss the opportunity of paying AK 1k$ for a couple of copper wires and a plastic box. Who would want to miss that?

There is someone who knows...and makes balanced cables w/ground for the AK240: Ted @ Headphone Lounge:  tedallen0220@gmail.com

He will answer your question in a heartbeat.  My guess is no electronics in the box, it's only a holder for the plugs and cable.
