I believe in the USA, you can buy directly from Iriver US website.

Well..I don't think you get his point.  You can not sell the goods at lower price than your dealer network.  Otherwise, no one will purchase the goods from your dealer network.  That's one of the reason why Headamp products are so very well made compared to other manufactures at the same price point.  Note that Headamp used to only sell direct but things are changing on his end as well.

I'd be interested in hearing any opinions on a decent set of closed headphones to use with the AK120 as I can't deal with the earcups on the Momentums for anymore than 30 mins at a time, despite the sound being good- just too small and hurt my ears. Suggestions welcome...

Will see how they sound with the AK120...

Well, depends on what kind of music you are listening to.
For instance with AK100 this is not the best match.
I prefer DT770 Premium Edition or DT990 Premium Edition - both are 32Ohm :)

We shall see, I have enough of a collection building that I can choose which headphones to use for specific genres now. Interestingly, on the A&K main site - they recommend the Denon's, saw this after I ordered last night whilst searching to see if there have been software updates released.

yup denon really good with AK100, i test it using denon ahd600

improve on soundstaging, some people like me tend to hate denon weird soundstaging, but ak100 make it better than my 200$ dap
but still not that great compared to other headphone like sen 650
improve on technicality, no doubt about it... i tend to hate some music, cause live music sometime sound bad on my 200$ dap and audio car

it's good on momentum too, but i like momentum with hifiman

AK120 owners, the AK100 was quite susceptible to RFI (particularly cellphones). Has the AK120 improved on that?

AnakChan

Do you find the AK100 susceptible to RFI?

That is interesting as I have not noticed any RFI interference?! I would say Hong Kong and Tokyo are both just as highly populated, and mobile phone take up the same, with perhaps Hong Kong a little higher, however, not sure what primary service is used in Japan, GSM or ............? It is GSM here!

I find no problems with the AK120 regarding RFI either
