Desolation Sound expected to Arrive on Monday!! Stoked!! 🤩

I'm spending more time with DS this weekend and it's just tuned so impeccably well. What really puts it out in front of the crowd is that we don't lose on the technical front, either. Nice open stage, excellent res and timbre. I think there's secret sauce in the driver...

If you love earbuds I'm fairly sure you could just buy this set and with a little discipline, pull yourself out the rabbit hole and head off into the musical sunset never to be seen again...

(I'm hanging around though )

That's what I meant about "end game" for me.. I don't think I'll even be looking at iems either. I've been going through my library and everything just sounds so fresh and alive.

I couldn't agree with you more when it comes to IEMs, and for my part, I've already switched over to earbuds, won over by their potential for quality, listening comfort and ease of use (lightweight, single cable).
But I'm still in favor of 2 to 3 substantially different endgames (and rather a single source)...

Great review. The list of pros vs cons is so one sided and the comparison notes are an excellent summary. The only time I felt something a little wanting turns out is due to the recording.
The review mentions the plastic material as a negative, but I kind of wanted something that looks cheap but is not since I get a lot of my listening in my planning time as a school educator.

To be clear, though, the pictures I've seen look nice. They just don't look ostentatiously nice.

This sounds incredible. Getting lost in the music. This is Jim's magna carta. Emotive, worldly timbre with technicalities that brings instruments closer to life.

Why this release soooo soon after Sunniva? :frowning2:
It's seems DS is even better...
I mean, it's double the price of sunniva. But like other have said, different sound signature too
